This month come out to hear Sarah Graham from the District of Lake Country provide a presentation on Water Management plans for Middle Vernon Creek.
Middle Vernon Creek flows from Duck lake into Wood lake right through downtown Lake Country.
The District of Lake Country is actively working to improve water management and protect the Middle Vernon Creek, including studies and upgrades to balance farming needs with environmental health.
Sarah will give us an overview of the details of this project and proposed plans to complete key objectives that enhance water flow rates and water quality, including how this effects Wood lake kokanee habitat in the creek.
